Before you start using the Certn-Greenhouse Integration, ensure that the integration has been set up.
This guide covers how to:
Add "Certn Stage" to your Interview Plan.
Under the "All Jobs" tab at the top of the page, select the job that you want to add a Certn background check stage to.
Select the "Job Setup" tab at the top of the page, and navigate to the "Interview Plan" section (left). Click on "Add stage" (right-hand side).
A popup will appear where you can select and add the "Certn" check as a stage in your candidate screening procedures.
Once added, you can edit the stage from this view to select which background check package you would like to run on the candidates that apply for this job.
Run a check
To run a check, select a candidate, navigate to the "Stage" section, expand the "Certn" stage, and click on "Send test". [Remember to move your candidate into this stage to accurately track the progress of your candidate.]
If you did not previously select a default background check package to associate with the position, you will be required to select it now from the "Test" dropdown menu, along with the person on your team who will be responsible for receiving updates about the results of background check.
When you click on "Send Test", Certn sends an email to the candidate that contains a link where they can provide the necessary information for their check and the status of this stage will be updated accordingly.
Note: It is not recommended that the Greenhouse scorecard is filled before the background check is completed, otherwise the stage will be split into two parts. If this happens, the scorecard grader will still need to fill another scorecard after the background results have been returned.
View your results
Once the check has been completed, the team member who was assigned to review (“grade”) the results will receive an email notification to do so. They can view Certn’s report of the background check by clicking into the details this stage (on the left).
Once graded, this stage is complete and you can move on to the next stage of your hiring process.
